So it seems that my battery is at 100% and the inverter is idle, and all charge is coming from the grid, this has been going on a while but just noticed as I’ve been working away.
I’ve restarted the inverter but still showing idle, is there anything I can check to see what’s going on?

Use the portal (top right corner) to restart the inverter and then make sure Eco is enabled.
So I did an update and the battery went down to 0 then gradually up to 51
I seem to be able to force a charge and a discharge, but eco doesn’t seem to do what it’s supposed to 🙁

I had the same problem. Via the App., navigate to 'inverter settings' --> battery options' and check the status of 'discharge power'. Upon first inspection and not sure how, 'discharge power' was set to zero. I increased it to 100% and the battery resumed service.
I should add, I have 'eco mode' enabled and this setting remined unchanged throughout.
shawry If Predbat is reporting the battery as calibrating and the battery level is rising but its not showing as charging, then the battery definitely sounds like it is doing a calibration. You won’t be able to force a charge or discharge, only change the charge/discharge rate, until the calibration is finished.

geoffreycoan problem is its still calibrating and I guess the issue is because it doesn’t show in the portal means it’s stuck somehow. I’ve emailed givenergy and my installer hopefully they can do something to sort.
Just means that my costs are going to be higher due to not using the battery to power the house, I can offset some by discharging I guess

Turn everything off (open all breakers)
PV DC string breakers
Consumer unit mains feed
Turn off battery (on 9.5 button high on RHS)
DC breaker from battery feeding inverter.
Let everything sit for 30 seconds so inverter is fully dead.
Turn everything back on and it should all reboot

If you're running HA and predbat, you really need to turn all that off to establish it's a problem with the inverter.

DD I have done and its still the same, HA was the thing that flags it calibrating, nothing else shows it, once it did that I turned off HA as its all I use it for and it doesnt do anything while calibrating

SteveCook this doesnt seem to have worked either 🙁
Thanks everyone for trying to help

So until installer/givenergy get back to me I have set a manual charge for 23:30 to 05:30, and a manual discharge from 05:31 to 23:29 with a limited discharge power of 735W that should help mitigate most of my expensive period with minimal supervision required hopefully.
EDIT, though it seems to keep maxing out the discharge power for some reason

Just put the inverter in eco mode and set a timed charge. Don’t set a timed discharge. It’s complicated, so unless you know what you are doing and how to make it work how you want it to work, stick to eco and timed charge for now.

Have a look at the activity log at the bottom of the remote control page on the portal. That should log any changes made to the configuration - now it even spots changes made locally over modbus.
