My system has a Solis S6 inverter between my solar panels and AIO and Gateway. There’s a very basic 2 line display screen on the Solis but no other information. There’s a capped of connector on the Solis and I have seen mention of an optional WiFi dongle. I wondered if anyone has a similar unit with the WiFi enabled, and what if any data / control it exposes.

I have a Solis inverter and an AIO/GW combination. My Solar panels were fitted 5 years ago and I had the dongle fitted at installation time (mine is not a wifi, but an ethernet version).

The dongle connects the inverter to the "Solis Cloud" which could be likened to the GE app/dashboard, but just displaying information about the solar panels ie solar generation. There is nothing that I can see that is not now picked up by the GE app

I paid scant attention to it before having my GE battery installed in the summer and I pay little/no attention to it now I have the AIO installed. I tend to use the GE app, my HomeAssistant dashboards and occasionally the GE web-based dashboard.

Thank you, I'll give it a miss then.
