Hi, tried to take advantage of the Octopus free energy from 7 till 9 this morning, made the changes in the app for timed charged but it didn’t charge. Any ideas? Thanks
Timed charge not working
Took a couple of goes and an inverter reset to get mine to work.
Mine battery has now been discharging (apparently) for half an hour yet still shows 100% Go figure

Gruff Normally battery information is sent every 5mins. Currently data is all over the place some 5s some 90s. My other half (software developer who works in comms) reckons they’re a comms issue somewhere in the ether
Too many of us trying to do the same thing at the same time

I think that when the app is running, updates are more frequent.
If you are connected to the same network then it should be updated every ten seconds.
After sucking up all the free energy on Octopus this morning, my battery seems to have gone AWOL.
It didn't hold its charge after the free session finished and now it's pulling 3.3kw from the grid by itself.
Any ideas?
Could it weirdly be trying to charge to 100% before 4pm?
pwdst What I’m finding confusing is that the data displayed via the portal is usually presented every 5 mins, the data this morning was presented at what appears to be random intervals (first screenshot) and the SOC displayed didn’t change despite the battery clearly discharging
FWIW it looks like its behaving normally now with data displayed every 5mins
The updates every ten seconds will only be displayed in the app in "Home" mode when you are on the same network as the inverter. The rest of the time the portal and app rely on updates via GivEnergy's servers and data is only sent every five minutes as I understand it.
