AiO - limit output to home demand only

Hi, I have an AiO and am on the Octopus Agile tariff. We also have Solar PV panels. During the warmer months I have had the AiO set to ECO with no problems. However, for the colder months I now wish to only discharge the battery between 16:00 and 19:00 hrs (peak cost for import with Agile). I think I have now set this up on the GivEnergy APP, however, the AiO discharges at 6.0kw regardless of the home demand, with the difference being exported to the grid. As the battery capacity is 13.5kw it will depleat within the 3 hour window leaving a requirement to import from the grid at high prices. My question is - How do I limit the AiO to only meeting the home demand?

Steve1 Do you wish to discharge the battery or just supply the house? In the latter case you leave the ECO mode on and the battery will satisfy the load demand. However if you wish to discharge the battery you can set this up and you can specify a rate at which to discharge the battery. However, the battery discharge will both satisfy the house demand and export to the grid for the difference (which will be affected by your discharge rate)
If you are looking for something more sophisticated, then possibly consider third party options, such as predbat, wonderwatt, Octopus R&D, Rubix inverter

Are you using timed-export, or timed-discharge ? The behaviour you describe sounds like timed-export, whereas (the way I interpret) what you want is the battery to hold charge through most of the day, then cover the house load from 4pm onwards, which would be timed-discharge.

(Timed discharge is actually implemented as pause-discharge outside of the hours you set. Or at least it was last time I looked.)

I wish to only supply the house between 16:00 and 19:00 hrs. When I had ECO selected over the summer months I found that the battery maybe depleted before 16:00 hrs thus requiring import from the grid. To try to avoid this I selected the DISCHARGE option and set the time from 16:00 - 19:00 hrs - according to the APP this should only discharge to the house between these times, however, I note that the battery discharges at the full 6.0kw with the difference between this and house demand being exported to the grid. I tried limiting the discharge rate to 3kw but this gets reset (conflict with wonderwatt?) back to 6kw after a few seconds

DD looks like I may have had the EXPORT setting on (as well as the DISCHARGE) - this would explain why the battery was discharging at the full 6kw. I’ve turned the EXPORT setting off now - will advise tomorrow if this has resolved my issue

DD yes, thats what I thought - looks like I had EXPORT and DISCHARGE selected. I’ve turned EXPORT off and turned DISCHARGE on. Also have ECO on. Will advise tomorrow. I use Wonderwatt to select the windows for Agile (was wondering if there was a conflict between Wonderwatt and GivEnergy - but it seems not)
