Battery charge level discrepancy

I'm seeing this on both my system and my parents. The charge level shown on the main battery screen is totally different to the charge shown when clicking in to the batteries.

Right now, for example, the battery state shows 6%. When I click in to the batteries I can see one is at 16% and one at 17%.

It's frustrating when the system is taking from the grid because it thinks it has no battery, but the SoC appears to be 16-17% on each battery.

Running the latest firmware. Is anyone else seeing this? Have emailed GE support but no response yet

Dabz not something I know much about, but I think when you view battery details, you see the "raw" values, without protective buffers at top and bottom. Whereas the inverter shows more of a filtered view. Also, with multiple batteries, inverter is showing a sort of virtual single (composite) battery.
But 6% does seem quite a drop from 16/17%

The depth of discharge for most batteries is 80% - which means that 80% of the battery's capacity is available to the user. Even the batteries that advertise 100% depth of discharge don't actually make all of the energy in every cell available to you, but they pack in extra cells above the advertised capacity to make the entire advertised capacity available to you.
As well as the depth of discharge, there is a minimum 4% reserve value which I think is intended to help the system through power cuts. It isn't clear if this has been changed to 6% on your system or if the cell voltages just dipped too low and the battery management system decided it was empty at a slightly higher calculated percentage.
Whilst it is confusing, it is normal to see 14 or 15 percent left on individual batteries when the system has reached empty and starts consuming from the grid. The overall battery percentage seemingly takes better account of the energy actually available to the user than the individual battery percentages do.
