Did anyone else receive spam from Snug Energy on their GivEnergy registered email address today with sales on GivEnergy batteries and Ohme car chargers?
I don't believe that I have ever dealt with Snug Energy in the past and - if I had - I would not have given them the email alias I registered exclusively for GivEnergy.

Stay well away from them, they installed my solar and batteries - subcontracted through EON, it has been a 2 year battle to put right the damage the did to my house and get the install up to regulations
No, but I had some more spam about GivBack
simont Same here. Damaged the inverter during installation and didn’t tell me. CT clamp was placed on wrong wire and the biggy poor wiring on battery isolation switch that caused it to trip out. To be fair it was the work of one electrician and they did put on it right reasonably quickly but nevertheless should have done right first time
That is why the name is familiar. I also used EON for the installation as literally nobody else was returning calls or emails at the time and I liked the 0% finance. Snug were contracted to do the install. The fact that they have harvested the email address I created for setting up the GivEnergy account and tried to use it to upsell me tells me everything I need to know about them as a company.
I would never consider buying from a spam email anyway.
I am extremely tempted to make a complaint to the ICO regarding non-compliance with GDPR.
pwdst Do A DSAR (Data Subject Access Request), asking them for a copy of your data they hold about you, and where did they get it exactly (your e-mail address). They will have to disclose everything, otherwise they are non compliant with GDPR and other regulations. Send DSAR in a letter or e-mail to their Data Protection Officer. They have one month to reply in full.
When they fail to reply or return incomplete data, your complaint to ICO will be more substantial. Potentially leading to a court case where you can win compensation.
