Powercut, cannot access info from Solar / Battery system as there is no power for the app. Lots of sunshine, no power from battery. Had to go back to my generator.
That wasn't the idea of installing Solar / Battery system.
Do these systems only work when connected to an active grid?
Any clues would be helpful.
No Power from Battery
What type of system did you buy? AC3, Hybrid, AIO?
Did you pay for the EPS socket or EPS circuit to be installed?
There's guides on the givenergy KB website.
Unfortunately, I do not know the answer the those questions, very little paperwork and seemingly no backup unless the installer gets hold of me.
I was in the hands of the facilitator and the installer.
It was 6.6kw array Solar with 13.5kw battery and a Growatt Min 6000 TL-x 1ph
cliffwest does it not say what it is on the side of the inverter and battery? There should be a label?
There is a lebel, but nothing on there that remotely refers to AC3 or AIO

Yes, this is called anti-islanding and is required by law to protect electricity network workers and equipment during a fault - as well as to stop your equipment trying to power the entire neighborhood and being damaged.
If you want backup the system needs to either have a separate circuit (called an EPS circuit) which is all that will be powered during a grid outage, or a switch which physically disconnects your house from the grid during an outage. Both backup methods require earthing at your property as you can no longer rely on grid earth.
It is possible that your batteries would have continued to charge in the sunshine but your inverter should not output any AC power by law.
