Just received a notification that my battery firmware is being upgraded and it took it offline.

I did not press the update button, nor was I interested in updating the firmware as my system has been working fine since being commissioned.

Why would it update the firmware without the user's input?

Go to the cloud, click my inverters/remote control
Then have a look at the logs (scroll to the bottom), see who updated your system 8 see the user column.

An example of mine (but it’s all server), if you see a name it could be You/Installer/GE

danielnepomuceno I had such a firmware update. I had contacted support about a portal issue, and for whatever reason their policy is to first update firmware in case it resolves the issue. Stupid when the problem was on the portal, but...

I happened to be in the garage at the time, and got quite a surprise when it started flashing its led.

I have never seen auto firmware update either.

They've pushed forced dongle updates before. Vaguely recall certain inverters (g3?) Got a forced battery one at some point but don't quote me on that?
