Anyone with no issues on BMS 10 notice a wobble when they updated

Ive had a pretty rock solid experience with BMS 10 getting regular 13+ kWh's out of the battery

Since the update Ive lost power somewhere and charging times and rate collaborate charge figures

Today might be it recovering partly but still below capacity

If it doesnt sort Sunday will call GIV unless someone has had this and it self solves

Yep I can barely get 10kwh out of mine.

It’s quite disorganised, really.

I understand that I don’t know the number of people who had issues before the release, whom it was intended to help. The thing is they would, as we sent data to them.

However, the first rule of a patch release and that if you’re not privy to the data is.

  • If it starts causing issues, you pull it.
  • if feedback indicates that it’s helping the few people it’s intended to help, you put a large warning on it for those who don’t need that fix to skip it for now.

But, they have the data they should be targeting the customer base with these updates, knowing who would and who wouldn't need the fix.

It seems they never learn, and have a basic panic based release management protocol.

12 kWh stored again this morning so no improvement.

DreadorUK It seems they never learn, and have a basic panic based release management protocol.

My guess is just poor management who have never been trained in proper release management.

The company is new and expanded quickly but don't have the right skills at the moment.

I do hope they learn and improve but that will be down to the senior leadership team and if they want to improve.

The tea leafs I have read so far from the various snippets of information don't look good...

Seems so, along with no data scientist so I think it's just too much data for them to comprehend what to do with - Id have a field day playing with that data.

Plus they could potentially make money from it if it was packaged right.

What is the wobble you speak of updating the Inverter?

Im testing now 614 for release with a new BMS too

A few days of lost kWh where I charged 13 kWh only got 9 back for instance and now Its just reporting its charging every day to 12 kWh and Im only getting 10 kWh before hitting empty (4%) Prior to the upgrade I got 14.4 kWh reported and got 13.3 kWh from the battery

Im not seeing any big drops in the day it just seems to have gotten itself confused as to what it can hold - So its reporting Ive lost 3kWh

Just to be clear though the battery is charging as normal so before it completed at 3:15 now it completes at 3:15 so its taking more than than its reporting

Just a quick update

So I changed my charge down to a lower amount to enable me to a clearer picture of how much is going in and noticed last night 4.5 hours @ 3.417 kWh and and so that shows I am charging 15 kWh though site is saying just 12.

Whilst I normally just use a percentage on my HA dashboard to see if I have enough juice left later to see if I need to delay a wash etc and looked at capacity

So it appears Im okay but back to what I had in BMS 8 which is rubbish data in cloud
