I’m trying to get EVC info using Home Assistant with GivTCP v3 but failing. I’ve been through the Config page and turned on all the settings that I think I need to. MQTT holds over 200 data points with 9 devices but none are EVC related. Has anyone been able to get EVC data this way?
SteveClubley It does work, I have no personal experience but I know of others using it.
Assume you turned on the givevc config and restarted givtcp?
Is your Giv EV charger connected by wifi or wired Ethernet? I am pretty sure that it only works on wired due to a modbus bug in the Giv EV firmware. Yeah I know, mad.

I have that setting turned on. I have restarted the whole HA (Green) more than once. My EVC is connected via WIFI so it must be the bug that you refer to that is the problem. Do you know what the outlook is for it to get fixed?

Update: I just noticed in the documentation that the GivEV firmware bug is with wired EV chargers not WiFi connected https://github.com/britkat1980/giv_tcp
I’m going to log an issue on GitHub. From the GivTCP log I see this error continuously repeated.
