Last night my son visited us and arrived with 10% SoC in his Q4 e-tron battery. We plugged in to my GivE charger and I noticed the charge rate was only 3.3kW. I assumed this was due to the low SoC and it would speed up when it got past 20%. However, this morning it was still going at 3.5kW or so.
I have searched around and there are a few reports on the Audi Q4 forums of similar slow charging, often with a PodPoint. Some reports of intermittent behaviour.
So just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar with Q4 Audis?

Did you have it set to Standalone (grid only) mode. I remember in the summer when I was trying to get some solar through to a car it wouldn’t charge at 7kW even over night unless I changed to Grid from Inverter.

Yes I just double-checked and it was Grid only. But I have also had problems with charging from solar so I just export solar now and charge (car and home) batteries overnight on Agile.

My VW ID4 which will share similar technology charges at 7kW. Maybe it is a car setting. The VW has a ‘Reduced AC charging current’ option.
