Hey
Just check the status of my battery and its at 0% and looks like it has been since the 17th December.
i logged into my account and accessed the remote control portal and can see there were some "External Change Detected" on the battery (see screenshot) anyone see anything like this before?

Battery No longer recognized
You get external changes detected if you make local changes to your inverter and not through the givenergy app /portal.
But these changes are weird, not the sort of thing you can change.
What type of inverter / battery do you have? Wondering if it's a loose data cable?
Yeah that'd be my guess, especially with an incorrect battery capacity, loose comms cable.
Hey
Thanks for the reply's guys
the invertor model is GIV-HY5.0 software version D0.450-A0.451 with the 9.6kwh battery on Battery Firmware Version
3017
where would i see the data cable if it was loose?
Assuming you have a Gen1. https://kb.givenergy.cloud/article.php?id=125&oid=1
There is a plastic cover/boot on the underside , fixed with 2 Phillips screws. The Battery BMS cable and the EM115 cable pass through this and into the comms ports. There are no cable clamps to stop any pull on the cables from pulling them out of the ports. I used some zip ties and tape after my problems
Be careful as some of the plugs fit other ports and than really confuses things.

I tried to do a timed charge but it did not work 🙁 but have initiated a battery calibration in the last 30min and its charging 🙂
I recking it must have done flat during the last storm when we had a power outage.
so after successfully Charging the battery from and calibration process and again last night on a timed charge. the solar power been generated today is not going to the battery (currently on 81%) but instead is been diverted to the grid.
Any Ideas what what might have got set incorrectly?
jamesdoherty Check the battery reserve should be 4%, your battery charge rate is set to the maximum for your inverter and you don't have anything set in battery pause mode.
Also check Eco is turned on.
A reset to defaults should do the above but worth double checking and understanding what the individual controls do
Are you on Eco? Perhaps use the portal and reset inverter to default settings
