Hi

Our 5kw battery is current sat at 100% and not discharging for use, been like this for almost a week. I have reset WIFI details as these had been lost and reset battery but no change. Do I need to reset the whole system?

Thanks in advance

Sl3iGh On the portal, check:

  • battery discharge rate is set to maximum
  • a battery pause mode hasn’t been set
  • Eco mode is set on
  • battery reserve is 4%

For each of these, don’t just rely on the value from the portal, try changing the value to something else, then change it to what it should be

Finally a ‘reset to defaults’ is worth trying.

Once the inverter is online and reporting data to the portal you shouldn’t need to change the wifi details or reset the wifi dongle any more

Still not sorting issue - where is the 'battery pause' mode button?

Sl3iGh Its not a button, its a setting in the remote control section for your inverter on the givenergy portal, about half way down in the battery section.

Whether you have this setting or not depends on which firmware/inverter you have. All the new ones do, the older Gen 1 hybrids and AC coupled inverters may not have it (depending on firmware version).

I may have the same problem - maybe a coincidence but it started after a firmware upgrade. All my portal settings were as above but still a steady 100% on the battery, whatever I did. Quite frustrating with a tenner of electrons in the battery this afternoon!

I have had the same issue for a few days now. Have reset the system several times, have checked / changed inverter settings, but the only time the battery will discharge is if GivEnergy cloud(?) says discharge for winter conditioning (but only seen that once since enabling it).
Any suggestions? (Note I run Prebat / home assistant so problems could be caused by givTCP or predbat)
