Hi all, my ev charger is constantly showing offline. I’ve tried switching off and on again many many times but to no success.
Also rebooted the Wi-Fi, still offline.
Switched everything off, nothing, still offline.

I can’t reset or do anything with the charger in the app as it says offline, so I’m really stuck.

Contacted GivEnergy in 2 ways but heard nothing back. Installer says to contact them but like I just mentioned, nothing coming back from GivEnergy.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Very sorry to hear. I hope you can get is resolved soon.
I anticipated problems like this, that's why I bought Zappi charger, with LED screen and buttons, it can work without any app or internet access. And I've connected it via Ethernet cable, so no WiFi pains...

Stokiedave Try searching on youtube for a givenergy video on how to setup the EV charger wifi.

They have posted videos recently on the different inverter wifi so there may be one for the EV charger.

geoffreycoan Have you tried to update WIFI settings using the GE App in the EV section? Otherwise likely need to factory reset charger. I ended up connecting via ethernet and no issues since.

mb695 no I don’t have the GivEnergy EV charger, only a couple of Gen 1 hybrid inverters and I connected those the ‘old fashioned’ way by logging onto the inverter hotspot. I’ve not had any need to change things so never tried using the new connection method in the givenergy app

If your installer just installed it as electrical job as such, then you could try leaving a bad review on giv-energy trust pilot page as they seem to be actively checking that.

If installer was promoting and selling aka where they sold you the unit and installed - they should be resolving not Giv Energy go back to them and tell them you want a full refund for none working charger (if within 30 days) or to initiate a repair or refund (under 6 months) over 6 months they have to repair still but have a few goes at it before you can demand a refund.
