It would be good if GivEnergy would respond to customers with faulty equipment, their telephone system states "line closed", emails and online forms are ignored.
What should you do?
GivEnergy not responding to contacts
No idea, I’ve tried calling, emailed their support email and heard nothing back.
I’m having to charge my car up away from home as I can’t use my charger.
Stokiedave If your username is related to where you live I would be very tempted to go and doorstep them.
Goshiki2 unfortunately not anymore. Way down south now
I too spotted the lines were closed today, I am not sure what is going on with Customer Service support.
Lets see how many days it takes to get a response via email.
There has been several people reporting delays from before Christmas, but there’s also people saying that their queries are being answered. Maybe a couple of weeks backlog. Not good if you are waiting for a reply but they are answering support tickets just very slowly

It's a pity you don't work for Givenergy in customer support 24/7 - whilst this forum is a fantastic community, sometimes people just want official acknowledgement of their problem.
Had a bit of a blow today! I'd wanted to upgrade the Mk1 3.6 HY to a Mk3 5.0 HY and add another battery. Partly because the original inverter has blown up its RS485 meter interface for the second time, partly because of GivEnergy's support problems and partly for extra capacity (Don't care about ROI at this point 🙂 ). Got this response from the GivEnergy Advanced installer less than a mile away:-
" Good morning Mark I hope you are well,
At ********* we strive to be able to continually offer the best customer service and post installation support to our customers possible, to do this, we continually evaluate the products that we choose to install.
In good conscience, and to remain able to deliver this level of customer service, we have recently made the difficult decision to no longer install Givenergy products. I am sorry we are unable to help you on this occasion.
Kindest regards,
Robert

mrand31 bit of a bummer that. Not heard of the rs485 port burning out before though?
At least on the gen1 hybrids, there seems to be no overvoltage protection on the interface and no ground drain. If the EM115 meter and the inverter are in different buildings and are connected by cable instead of a LORA (which didn't work in my case due to too much screening in the way), then disconnecting and reconnecting the RS485 interface can fry the interface on the inverter. 🙁 The EM115 is more robust.
