I have an 8.2kwh battery and am on the Intelligent Octopus Flux tariff. My battery never seems to charge higher than approx 85-90% and rarely discharges lower than 20%. Is this normal and/or acceptable, if not what should I do about it?

You have handed control of your battery over to Octopus to charge and discharge as they see fit. That’s what you signed up for.
The 20% lower limit is quite normal.
OIF is a better tariff in the winter when you are generating more solar, its not so good financially in winter.
