Any one else had that issue?
Battery Discharge Issue

First responsibility for fixing issues and resolving queries post install is with your installer. Maybe a strongly worded email about his responsibilities to ensure that the equipment is fit for purpose and working correctly?
Abbas You didnt mention which tariff you are on, is it an "intelligent" one?
Hi we had a a 9.5 Kwh Gen 3 installed on 24th March 2025.
Having similar issues - battery is at over 80% and when we use some power in house (kettle, tumble dryer etc.), roughly 10% of demand comes from the grid, I would expect it all to be drawn off the the battery?
Note not running devices at same time so should be able to get 2.5Kw from the battery.
We have an EMS merging two batteries so I would expect it to cope with up to 6Kw draw down from the batteries.
We have Octopus Flux so earlier today set my "Time Discharge" to all day except for 02:00 to 05:00, when I charge the battery using Octopus cheap rate.
Am I been impatient?
As the installers spoke about auto calibration of the system.

Shouldn't need to configure a timed discharge for this : charging automatically inhibits battery discharge (even if the battery fills before the end of the time window). But it should be harmless.
macandanne The size of your inverter will determine the maximum draw that's possible from your batteries but it's also possible that one of the inverter or battery settings is set to limit the maximum output power. Click the remote control icon on your inverter page and have a look at your Inverter & battery remote control settings.
