Firmware 3019

Just been put on battery firmware 3019 upgraded from 3017 by ge in order to try and resolve a problem. Anyone on this already and is it performing.

Yes, been on it a few weeks (from 3017):

It's resolved the <20c 0.25C charge rate, reverting it to 0.33C charge rate (i.e 2.7kW back to 3.6kW)
All my cell voltages have been close together (2 to 3mV now) where I would seen 20-30mV differences.
Also the associated Inverter update reduces flash memory writes improving longevity if using external 'tools'

I am on 3019 to improve the battery capacity on a 8.2 gen 1 battery which was shoddy on previous firmware. Certainly it is improved against what I had. Yesterday was the first day that we exhausted the battery during the day so by bed time we were 4% SOC and drawing from the grid. A timed charge from 23:30 to 05:30 added 1kWh 23:30 to 00:00 and then 00:00 to 05:30 added a further 5.8kWh. So that is 6.8kWh added to the remaining 4%. Looking at the energy graph the charge was complete by 02:00-02:30. All figures taken from the Energy Graph. Throughout the GE system the battery SOC is stated as 100%
This is certainly an improvement vs pre 3019 but I would like to see something closer to 8.2kWh.
I have an open ticket with support so I have requested some feedback
BTW in My Inverter, Software it shows that I am on 3015 and suggests that I update to 3017.

Portal won't know about 3019 as it only deals with production f/w, not beta.

Thanks for replies. I’ve noticed in the last 24 hours since the firmware was installed that whereas previously the state of charge of the two batteries could be as much as 16% difference and regularly over 10%, the readings are now much closer, and in fact for 5/6 hours today have been identical. Always between 2 and 8% so much closer.
Only thing I have noticed now and before installation, the secondary battery has plummeted to 0% for a split minute before recovering back to normal. Voltage and temperature remained constant. Only a minute or so as if it’s lost reading or something switched off. No idea what would cause that.

New firmware continues to perform for my system so currently very happy. Continue to monitor but so far positive. Ge have been very helpful and I cannot fault them. This is what they said with regard to v3019
. The newer Firmware that is on your system has a self calibration within this so the Firmware essentially always helps with the batteries reading correctly already.

Same for Gen3 batteies and 4007. Would be nice if I could see exactly what the battery is doing - but it's an EMS plant.

GrahamShaul The latest update on my system. Although the 8.2kWh battery (160ah 100% DOD) which was installed in August 2021 was recently swapped out I am not sure if there was an issue with it or it was the firmware. Any how the battery that I currently have has been with me for about a month. Since I have had this battery I have not been certain of the true charge that it has taken one but just made a judgement by looking at the Energy Graph values following a day when the battery had been discharged to 4% - then each overnight I have a timed charge set to 100%. So the most recent example suggests that added to the 4% was 7.2kWh. In the most recent comment from support is 'Over time with these batteries you can see reduced capacity over time due to degradation too. So your battery at the moment is showing around the full capacity that i would expect at this point. '
Good to know that about 12% can be expected degradation in just over three years. Not that I know what the current battery has been doing in the previous years.
