A friend is staying overnight, I just wondered would they be able to charge on my 11:30 - 5:30 tariff? I think I saw a thread about this but can't find it.
I wonder though, do they just plug in the home at 11:30 and it will charge without the app? (Obviously the home app is set up for my car)

[unknown] I don’t have an EV or on the IOG tariff, but my understanding is that you get the overnight cheap tariff regardless (once you have enrolled your car/charger). I think somewhere it says that you have to do a smart charge once a month, so my take is that you will be fine

Turn off smart charging in the octopus app.
Set the schedule from 23:30-05:30 on the ohme app. Plug the car in and let it charge overnight then disconnect.
Remove the schedule from ohme, enable smart charging.
If octopus the ohme not the car, then just use it as usual, but adjust the percentages to reflect the difference in battery sizes.

Of the Ohme is integrated with Intelligent Octopus Go then the car is irrelevant. Just plug in any car and the charger will negotiate with Kraken and give it charge slots.

If the registered car has a 75kWh battery, adding 50% would add 37.5kWh
If your friends car only had a 60kWh battery and you wanted to only add 50% then the octopus app would calculate 50% on the size of the register car and try to add 37.5kWh.
So to add 50% to the smaller car you would do 60/75 =0.8 and ask for only 0.8 x the percentage you want.
So with a 75kWh battery car registered and wanting to add 50% to a friends 60kWh car you would ask for a 40% charge. 40% of 75 is 30, which is 50% of the smaller 60kWh battery.
The opposite for larger batteries, so increasing the percentages to reflect.
To be clear it will be against your bill not their octopus bill, but I’m assuming you know this.
