Hey, what has happened to the little clock seconds count-up every 10 seconds on the front page of the Home dashboard? It has suddenly disappeared about a day or so ago. It was very useful to give indication that something was happening every 10 seconds!!
Is this progress???

It disappeared on v3.4.11. Furthermore the grid export/import has changed to ‘neutral’ if there’s a low W value, probably if less than 100W.

I have just noticed that the inverter settings on the mobile app have changed (well at least on my iphone they have, but not on my ipad!). On my iphone I can "enable timed export slots", suggesting I could set up more than one, but am not given the option to set up a second! ... its the same with timed import slots.

It would be so nice if there was a notification from GivEnergy explaining any changes! I don't know what happens at the end of my timed import/export slot ... does my system revert to eco?

There is also a new button on the home page to do with customising my power flow .. again no explanation!

#confused!!

There is a ‘what’s new’ in the app, but its not been updated with any changes for this release. There’s an un-named release and then the previous one with change history is 3.4.3.

GivEnergy are pretty awful at informing what the changes are. Same with the portal. It then seems to be down to this customer forum to discover the changes

Yes the inverter will revert to Eco unless you have a timed discharge set as well which effectively pauses the battery

geoffreycoan So if I have timed export between 4pm and 7pm and timed import between 2am and 5am, the inverter wont go to 'eco' between 7pm and 2am? or it will ?

[unknown] the gen 1 inverter behaviour can be different, but for the other inverter types, the inverter should go into Eco mode between 7pm and 2am after your timed export

[unknown] Yup, the only way my battery now reports a percentage is if I go into the battery info, then back to the home screen..

Atkinstagram I used to have to do that to get the correct colour on the battery display (I have 2x8.2kWh) but it has been fine for the last year or so.
