Does any one have experience of Fault 24:LeakDeviceFailure on their EV Charger please?
This happened following resumption of power after a power cut.
I have tried restarting the Charger but to no avail.
Givenergy EV Charger Fault:24
Vimar I read somewhere in this forum that it happens when the grid voltage is too high, over 253V. Happens for me quite frequently too, not much we can do about it but hope the grid voltage comes down…
PBoo If you’re consistently getting high voltages then this should be reported to your DNO. They will fit a monitoring device to confirm the issue, and will turn down your grid voltage supply if the monitoring shows that the voltage is outside of tolerance limits
alternatively you can fit a voltage regulator, I think GivEnergy sell one for about £250
the DNO route is cheaper though !

Vimar 24 sounds more serious than the normal 25 (which is normally Overvoltage rather than an actual ground fault)
The first iteration of the EV charger actually has the fault code list. I do not believe the fault codes changed between the old shape and new shape EV charger and the codes can be found near the end: https://midsummerwholesale.co.uk/pdfs/ev-installation-manual-2022-v2.pdf
It sounds very much like your unit is now toast to be honest and needs replacing.
Thanks for the information. I will get the installers to take a look and report back.
The installer has been and fixed things. Apparently it was the internal RCD that had tripped following the surge after the power cut.
