hi i am new to all this having had solar and battery fitted not long ago
i have been onto the cloud portal this morning and seen the battery requires a firmware
update i clicked the button it started the update, I had the notification saying it has started
and will let me know when finished. it got to 90% of verifying and the inverter went Offline
that was over 1hour ago
will it come back online on its own or do i have to do anything??

what kit have you got
what update is it doing (firmware version from what to what?)
it may do a calibration. Battery dump and recharge.
Give it a few hours and you may have to power it all down (PV strings, inverter, battery) for a couple of minutes and then turn all on again - there is a sequence for this shutdown/restart - and then it should reboot the battery and the inverter

i think you may need to do a full shutdown and restart to reboot everything.
I think it something like this, but not 100% sure
Open DC breakers to PV strings
Turn of battery off (on 9.5 there is a button in the RHS). press for 5 secs until it beeps and lights go off.
Open breaker on side of battery feeding inverter. Not sure if there is one on 5.2, but there is on 9.5
Open mains MCB in consumer unit feeding inverter.
Leave everything 30 seconds or so and then put all back on.
This should hopefully reboot battery and inverter.

You may have to get GivEnergy to email you 3017 and take the USB stick out of the battery, install 3017 on the stick and put it back in and reboot
