I have had my battery for about 3 days now and have set ECO mode
Charge set at at 01.00 to 06.00 and no export slots.
However to day at 9.30 my battery is being charged at a rate of 173wW from the grid- have I missed a setting somewhere?
Battery Charging at Odd Times
What tariff are you on?
If it is an intelligent one, you have handed control to ANOther

173W sounds about the sort of power it uses when charge is below the reserve level.
Did the battery charge as expected 1 to 6?
SteveCook If it is an intelligent one
Specifically IOF - IOG does not take control of house battery.
I am on a basic Octopus E 7 at the moment - not. Sure what tariff to go for.
Eon Next Drive with 7 hours overnight at around 7p seems best and 16.5p export, day rate 27p.
Octopus day rates are higher than that on the E7 I am on at the moment.
Battery at 62%

Why this small charge ?
My HA dashboard responds pretty quickly to what is going on with loads.
i dont think the inverter jumps on/off as fast as electrical items cut in/out eg washing machine heating element.
I get unexpected times when I can see some import and export presumably where the inverter "tries" to match the load and either undershoots or overshoots and I get small import or export (maybe up to 50w) for a few minutes, when it is not really "needed/wanted"
Why is your house load 0?
I am on Predbat and should be charging, but have 278W of export, presumably as the sun has just come out from behind a cloud and the inverter will take a few seconds (typically about 30 seconds) to catch up

I have no idea why my house load is showing as zero- not much load, freezer,tv,router
So maybe too low to measure?
Bobby123 definitely not too low, that’s a couple hundred watts of usage so should show.
Has it ever showed house load?
Bobby123 Why this small charge ?
And where's the power coming from? Grid is neutral and solar only 2W.
Does it correctly show grid usage when there is any? The consumption is inferred from grid and inverter activity, rather than measured directly, so if grid measurement is wrong...
