Just a fact finding, if we need to look at this again. Last time it was not required by 99% of users. Once slot each day was enough.
But with the advent of Tomato Lifestyle, and multiple dips a day. I thought Id ask again, who actually would use 2 slots a day as an example.
The EVC can store 20 slots over 7 days (Weekly Mode), or 5 slots in one day (Daily mode)
This mode is transparant to you as a user.

I am on octopus cozy tariff which gives me 3 low charge periods, I currently use the 4-7 am slot as the automated one and manually charge on the other two. Three slots would allow me to set and forget.

TheDragon (GivEnergy) I had to switch to GO rather than Cosy for this exact reason. Having multiple active slots would allow much greater flexibility.

Yes, I agree having multiple active charging slots would allow more flexibility on some tariff such as Cosy.

seems still low demand for it. 3 comments in 3 days. vs the many 1000s of chargers out there.
Will mention it to the devs

@[deleted] yes please for the multiple charging slots!
It would probably be more useful to benchmark what the competition is doing in this regard: Ohme, Zappi, Hypervolt?
I mean if someone is looking to buy a charger and needs this feature they will not end up on this forum anyways - they will just buy one of the other brands
Can you also mention to the devs to enable local inverter control as opposed to cloud?

You can enable local control yourself, via the portal.
As this is a breach of the Smart charge guidelines, its off by default

@[deleted] I have AC plant. Yesterday had the v1 EMS installed and it's wonderful. Among other things I now have 3 charge slots, the portal works and I have removed the HA balance inverter script at last. It says my batteries are lead acid but I can forgive that.
At the same time I had Giv's EV charger installed. It's a nice bit of kit and the app is good. But, how confusing and frustrating to see multiple charge slots but the end user can only enable one, argh!
Where is the back to back feature parity across the product range and a bit of a tease that you can set multiple slots but can only use one. I get it, new products = more features but still....
So multiple slots, 100% yes please for all of us on Cosy Octopus and similar, which is perfect as I have an air source heat pump I won't change tariff.
Similar, if I understand correctly I can't charge my car on a timed slot overnight then if the sun comes out use solar. Seems to be it's one or the other, have I got that right or missed something?
