How do I stop my battery being charged from the Grid?
At the moment if the battery is discharged, say at night, the grid will start to charge the battery. I only want the panels to charge the battery!
Battery options
From the web portal ensure
- eco mode is enabled - will then charge via solar and only discharge to the house
- and timed charge is disabled or set to suitable time such as during cheap rate
Other than when timed charge is set the only other times it should draw from the grid to battery is if it goes below reserve level which defaults to 4% or during a calibration.
my battery has been installed today and i am also having this problem and have followed instruction above to no avail.
Is there any other advice?
Thomas
my battery also exported to the grid until discharged which i did not want it do, any advice for a newbie?

Calibrating? Full discharge followed by full charge?
Sutton As TheDragon (GivEnergy) suggests, it sounds like it is doing the initial calibration which every new battery has to go through. Nothing to worry about - except if this is the case then your installer didn't do a great job of explaining the initial process!
Looks like that is the case thankfully, still discharging 200W but imagine that it has to discharge to some degree if full and still receiving power from the PV.
