Battery stuck on 100% and refusing to discharge. Not changed anything but overnight charge times which have also gone haywire with the system charging randomly. Had setup 18 months no real trouble nothing changed to wi fi etc. This fault seem to have come from nowhere.
Battery refuses to discharge
Can you log into the portal page
Reset inverter to default
What does inverter logs say
reset inverter to default remote control log says successful
resetting inverter seems to have done the trick Thanks
Great
Hello,
My inverter is likewise stuck at 100%. However, I have already reset the parameters to default, yet it makes no difference.
I usually charge to 80% overnight but that parameter setting is still being ignored.
Can I reboot the inverter (gen3)
You can restart the inverter from the portal
OR
Power everything off.
Turn DC string panel breakers off
Turn battery off (on 9.5 it is button high on RHS. Press and hold until it beeps and let go. All lights will go out)
Turn battery breaker that feeds inverter off (on 9.5 it is high on LHS under cover)
Turn consumer unit breaker that feeds grid to/from inverter off
All lights should go out.
Wait 30 s or so and turn all back on.
This should reboot battery and inverter
There is a correct sequence for this. I think on the GivEnergy Knowledge Base. You may have to do a search.
Good luck.
lawton could perhaps also check breakers on supply to inverter. A couple of times, mine have tripped, which means inverter just deactivates as if there's a power cut, but it can still interact over network since of course router is running from grid.
IIRC it's not obvious from the official app that this has happened. (This wouldn't explain any erratic charging, but you've not given us much detail about that.)
I have also had this issue today, reset the inverter from the portal back to default settings but still not discharging. I have also restarted the inverter from the portal with no change. Any advice?
Just started working shortly after the inverter reset. Thanks
