I have a GivEnergy battery, inverter and EV charger. I typically charge my car overnight from the grid on a schedule to match my peak discount window. As the summer is coming, I want to also be able to charge the car from excess solar during the day.

Two questions;
1) I cant' seem to find an option on the app to choose a power source for a scheduled charge. Does it use the power source from the Plug and Go setting ? If I set a daytime schedule I'd want it to power from excess solar only - like it would using Plug and Go Solar.
2) I have successfully set an overnight schedule along with turning on Plug and Go Solar ; and this worked for a period of time, but since 17th it stopped charging overnight, unless I turn off Plug and Go explicitly. The app help says of Plug and Go "charging from the selected energy source and overriding any scheduled charges" - this is a bit ambiguous; does it mean it actively disables the schedule or it just charges in conjunction with it.

I'm puzzled on question (2) because I seem to have both working for a couple of weeks, but then scheduling abruptly stopped working.

L163023 what tariff are you on and do you receive payments for your export?

If you do receive payments then its more beneficial to charge yoiur EV overnight and let all your solar export during the day, e.g. Octopus Go, 8.5p charge overnight, 15p export rate

geoffreycoan - yes - I have the Octopus Export Flux and Import Flux - and do charge overnight; but I wanted to understand how the two app settings work together.
