Battery firmware update available in portal

For the first time in a very long time, I now have the button to update my battery firmware. I've been on an old version since GE support replaced my battery in late April / early May which they insisted on. Anyone else got the update button? What version is now the latest? Does this fix the dodgy SOC issues?! The last time my battery needed a firmware update, I had to do it manually with the USB stick method.

My current battery firmware is 3005 so 1036 I assume is really old?

Just had a look at mine, update available my firmware is 1040. Anyone know what the improvements are - when I search FAQ no real info. TY Seen in the link above Thanks

I'll be waiting a few days to see if more info appears or if other people go for it. And also I want a day of less cloud cover so the charging of the calibration is not from the grid.

Mine started off <FW 1036 way back in 2020 (I recall getting the update that took it from 78% DOD to 80% which reading the notes would be 1036 your on now?)
It's now on 3005 no problem with no offer of an update which would suggest that 3005 is the one it would give you?
Think I updated mine last Dec when it first came out but just before they pulled the plug on user operated portal updates for whatever reason.
Should it offer one up over the weekend I'll take one for the team as I have a backup system should it all go wrong.

That button has appeared for me too. I dont really want to buy electricity at peak rate but assume that once the button is clicked it will just initiate it immediately.
Should I set myself a wakeup call for the early hours and kick it off at that cheaper rate? Though my system has been behaving well and would an update upset it?

GrahamShaul reading through the updates they seem to move voltage limits & alarms around quite a bit presumably from ongoing monitoring of the entire fleet of them to do what's best for lifespan (read: warranty claims).
I've not had any issues with any version and if updating means the battery is less at risk of going under/over voltage then I'd personally do it.
I tend to work mine back based on how long it would take to empty at full discharge before 23:30 when my cheap rate kicks in. That maybe several hour depending on how many batteries and what SOC you start with.

GrahamShaul I've had about 4 battery calibrations occur, I try to get them started at about 10am. For me I will consume some of discharge by putting the washer on or set the hot tub on a heating cycle, then when it is empty by 1pm the sun is high in the sky and hopefully most of that goes into charging rather than any grid import.
