Hi all,
After updating to inverter firmware D0.210-A0.210 my second battery is being shown but not used by the inverter.
AC3 inverter
2x 5.22kW batteries.
The GivEnergy app shows battery 1 at 15% and battery 2 at 100%, although the inverter states the combined battery level at 4% and is just drawing home use from grid.
The portal shows Battery Capacity 102 Ah | 5.22 kWh | (2 Packs) - clearly wrong.
I have tried resetting the inverter to defaults, and also shutting the system down and restarting, but without resolution.
Searched the forum but nothing obvious came up.
Any suggestions, please?

c2ushe2 I am now on D0.210-A0.210 and I can see both of my 8.2 kWh batteries which are daisy-chained together. The portal shows capacity of 16.38 kWh.
Try to get hold of GE support tomorrow or you will be waiting until Monday.

I have the same issue with 5k Gen 2 hybrid (updated to D0.920-A0.920) and 2 x 9.5 (still on 3017). The available capacity flicks between 2x 9.5 and 1x9.5 since the inverter f/w update with the same behaviour you describe. Observationally, this typically happens when hitting 100% on the second battery. Ticket in with Giv on 1st Apr, but no response yet. Since the firmware update, I also frequently see the red bubble event counter warning on the portal, indicating there is an inverter event to review, but as reported elsewhere, these events are no longer displayed in the log on the portal - looking at the log only clears the red bubble event counter. I also sometimes get the red light on 2nd battery. Rebooting the batteries clears the red light and sometime clears the reported capacity issue. I was thinking about manually upgrading the batteries to f/w 3020, but I'll wait to see what support say... when they get back to me.

Have rebooted everything, and at least the inverter reports the correct cpaqacity now, and the app correctly shows 50% charge with one battery flat and the other at 100%. Fingers crossed it sorts itself during todays solar charge. Support informed.

Also I note that max charge/discharge rates show as 2600W, used to be 2800W.
Edit - spoke too soon, portal has reverted to stating capacity of one battery, depsite also saying that 2 packs are installed.
After posting, mine sorted itself out over night with no further intervention and appears fine this evening. I shall await whether it goes off the rails again when the heat pump kicks in later and starts drawing on the batteries.
And.......mine is also working normally now after my earlier reboot of everything, and solar charge of battery 1 during the day, now utilising both batteries for discharge this evening. And is even showing the correct installed battery capacity on the "general" tab of the inverter portal page . I also note that the battery charge/discharge rates have reverted to the nominal 3000W. I suspect Ge sup[port have been working behind the scenes - if so, thanks guys.

I do however, still notice multiple inverter "trouble flags" (we can't see what they are).
Mine flips between being ok and not ok. Generally flips to not ok when both batteries hit 100% and over voltage happens (the red bubble notices).
I have exactly the same issue...no rep0ly from GivE yet.

One thing that might be cooincidental is staring battery charge for 20 minutes and then stopping it...seems to kickstart the 2Y battery to discharge as well as 1Y

Having the same issues - slave battery throws a red status light when fully charged, (overvoltage?) system then decides it only has one battery pack and downgrades the max charge/discharge rates accordingly. Lots of inverter "red bubbles". After putting a bit of load on the system, the slave battery light has changed to green - maybe the system then (eventually) decides there are two batteries again as it did last night?
Either way, it doesn't seem to be working propely. System CE2122G011

Hmm - my usual luck with BMS firmware updates seems to prevail - the inverter seemed to take in the update from the dongle ok, the master battery status light flashed green for a while (didn't hear a beep but there again I wasn't there all the time). Don't think the slave battery updated at all.
Dashbopard shows half the abttery capacity there should be, and 2% SOC, (despite both being nearly fully charged) not drawing from the batteries.
In short - help!
Update - put BMS 3020 onto my batteries manually (never have got OTA battery firmware updates to work, but a dab hand at whipping the front covers off and extracting the USB sticks) - NB - don't try this if you are not an electrician or leccy engineer (as I am or rather was) - lots of volts with plenty of oomph behind them inside those batteries.
Waiting for the system to settle down and start reporting sensible SOC figures, but it is looking better.

And after a morning's sunshine, the batteries SOC's have equalised, and the system looks to be operating normally. Despite the imbalance initially reported between the two batteries, they supp;lied the house load all night OK, too.
