Reassurance needed please.

I have Economy 7 with Octopus, and I believe Octopus is on UTC all year, so my cheap rate doesn't change in summer and stays at 00.30 to 07.30 UTC. So I run the dishwasher, the car charger, etc. between 01.30 and 08.30 by the clock at the moment.
However, I have a GIV-AC3.0. It seems to have synced itself to UTC+1 in the Account settings, so I have altered the timed charge settings to 01.30 to 08.30
Is that right? GivEnergy doesn't post UTC+1 in one place and use UTC elsewhere?
I know, I should know this, but what with the Octopus times, the car charger app, the car app.....an old man can get confused....

Economy 7 on Octopus is charged on the basis of UTC https://octopus.energy/help-and-faqs/articles/what-is-an-economy-7-meter-and-tariff/ and doesn’t change in summer time

The inverters are always clock changed to local time

So yes you need to change the charge schedule in BST

It wasn't an actual issue until the early 1990s where electrical heating load began to exceed infrastructure capacity. That's why they brought in radio teleswitches* - it was cheaper to "load shift" than to upgrade infrastructure and the first commercial example of this was MANWEB in 1993 (http://www.manweb-remembered.co.uk/May%2094.pdf).

So "load shifting" isn't anything new 😉

*there's still about 600,000 teleswitch meters out there, all will stop working at the end of June this year. Radio 4 LW (198kHz) still carries the signals.
