Updated from 3005 to 3007 this morning and the system is currently performing what I expected to be its calibration run. Discharge down to zero went as expected but the charge back up to 100% seems to have changed. Instead of it being a forced charge at whatever battery charge rate you have set, it is operating in ECO mode and the charge rate is varying as the sun goes in and out and house usage goes up and down. Given that it is a cloudy day here it was going to take forever and I have manually changed to timed grid charge mode which is working as expected. This begs the question as to whether a software update recharge is no longer a forced recalibration charge to 100% but rather a low battery charge back up to 4%. Would be handy to have a definitive answer as it helps with timing the initiation of the update.
