I have attached an extract from MyEO App. Anyone looking seen this?

"Action Required: GivEnergy Real Time Control
What is Real Time Control?
In March 2025, GivEnergy began releasing a new setting on their inverters called Real Time Control. “This is designed to optimise the inverter performance under high-demand conditions.” – GivEnergy. From previous Facebook posts, I understand this is to prevent problems with the way the data is stored on the Inverter by default."

Roy124 real time control is a new inverter firmware option that means the inverter stores most of its configuration settings (charge rate, start/end charge times, etc) in volatile memory not the flash memory that has limited read/write cycles.

Have a look at the speak to the geek channel and there's a thread 'for those of us thrashing our inverter' on here.

Side effect of the change is that if there is a power cut your inverter reverts to its basic settings and you have to set the schedules up again.

Positive impact is less read/writes to the inverter.
For most people unless you are doing things like balancing multiple inverters (repeatedly starting and stopping charge and discharge to prevent cross charging), this won't be a change you need to make.

I think GivEnergy suggest that one inverter control about every 7 minutes won't cause any inverter issues. So with MyEO I doubt its needed, even if on Agile.

I track my inverter writes with predbat. I am on Cosy at the moment, typically 30-40 writes a day, peak of about 75. I don't plan to use this config option

geoffreycoan Any thoughts re us IOF users?... I see circa 130 API messages per day (the vast majority of which are errors)?
