April 2025 is turning out to be another sunny month.
I've just matched the total generation for April 2024 and still five days to go!
With the forecast suggesting a mini-heatwave for the rest of the month, we're likely to break some records
2024 was a bad year for me, so I fully expect '25 to beat it!

A bit too early for my system to start seeing proper comparisons. Last march I did 530kW and this March I did 871kW on my west roof. I added an extra 15 panels on my east roof last August to compliment the 19 west. Those new panels gave 385 in March which is about the same as they did last September.
April so far my east has done 482kW and my west is at 912kW this year vs 818kW last so looking on track for a good end of month score!

Matching what wilfleek said, 2024 was a bad year. Its looking like 2025 will be slightly better than 2023 but not massively so

And sure enough, the sunny end of April '25 has already matched my May 24's total here in the West Country
My April generation total this year will be better than any single month since the system was installed in Nov '21. Remarkable.
[unknown] You missed out on May 2020 then. Absolutely phenomenal! I generated 402kWh from my 2.35kWp system. April 2025 looks like it will be about 60kWh short of that, but will still be the second best month I’ve had since I started in 2016.
Only up about 10% on generation compared to April 24 (which was also very good). Fog on a couple of mornings has dropped it down from what some of you guys are seeing as we're heavily dependent on morning sun for generation.
Ìn my case April 25 has exceed Jun 24. Replacing gas with an ASHP and the exceptional weather makes me just £10 shirt of net zero.
My April has exceeded last April and last May. It's not far short of last June. What a super solar month.

Exported 907.1kWh for -£135.29
Net -£124.90 plus a couple of quid in the last saving session (excluding SC).
Heat pump used 200kWh, rest of the home a further 432kWh.
1542kWh generation was quite exceptional, beating April 23 (1364) and April 24 (1196) and like was my 4th best ever generation month (behind May 23, June 23 and June 24) and was 1 kWh ahead of July 24.

This is my solar generation since it all started in Sept 2022. My first 6 months were lower as I had extra panels installed in April 2023.
1,088 kWh makes April 2025 my 3rd best month since my system was installed in August 2022, beaten only by May + June 2023 and June 2024.
I finished April 2025 with my first 50 kWh day.
For direct comparison with last April,
I am pleased with this from my 5 kW PV SE inverter and 9.75 kWp panels (5S, 11E, 9W). Solaredge inverters can overscale x2.
I lose a bit from clipping but overall this installation does a good job, squeezing out more whenever <5 kW. Upgrading the inverter is not cost effective.

My April bill, thanks to the bright warm month, getting rid of gas, and maximising grid import by using the Cosy tariff has gone from £150 to £8.
Grid import was £50 and solar export £42.
Jan-Apr has seen a year on year saving of £440 not adjusting for tariff changes or switching from Ovo.
We hit 770kWh, a full 10% higher than any single month last year.
