Hi all.

Bryfly It will definitely charge at 6kW if you have enough solar, or are grid charging. How are you charging? Its worth using the portal, not the app, and going into the remote control (little cog on my inverter - All-in-one) and checking the settings in there. Battery Charge Power should be 6000 and inverter charge power percentage should be 100%
Hopeful I've check those settings and they are as you said. I've had it 3 day and at no point has the charge rate from the grid been higher than 4.75
Bryfly Unless your battery is above 95% I think its time to ask your installer to check, and if needed to contact GivEnergy, as it sounds like somethings not quite right. Maybe there is an installer setting or an incorrect CT clamp somewhere as charging from the grid should be 6k with those settings.
Hopeful Thanks for your help. I suspected something was not right but needed some confirmation before I took it up with the installer.
It turns out that I was supplied with a 5kw version.
Now GE have reprogrammed it to a 6kw version. I've asked them if there is any physical differences but not got a reply yet.
Not sure if this is acceptable. Does anyone here think this is ok?
Bryfly I am pretty sure the physical device is the same, its just software configured to 5 or 6kW.
The 3.6 and 5kW hybrid inverters are the same, same physical hardware just software limited.
Makes manufacturing easier and cheaper to have just 1 device at different price points

Yes I do believe all inverters are the same underneath -
AIO 3.6 - 6.0
Hybrid 3.6 - 5
Polar 3.6 - 6
