My inverter is showing Idle after Battery Calibration. I have tones of solar gerneration, why is it not active and charging?

Check it is on Eco in the portal. Suggest you change to force discharge or something and hit save, and then change back to Eco and hit save to make sure the setting is acheived

Forcing a discharge has no effect on the eco flag, just overrides it temporarily. Explicity toggling eco flag is surest way to ensure it is on. (Or force a read using the remote control page.)

I think the problem might lie else where. The batteries are showing empty and they are not seen as connected but i will try as suggested.

Check the comms cable between inverter and battery is plugged in. It goes into a port on the inverter covered by a plastic shroud/boot (2 Philips screws), but there is no mechanical restraint. It can get knocked/accidentally pulled out.

Hi Steve
I will check (I am away from home at the moment) but I would be very surprised if that was the problem. I have two batteries attached and both are not showing as connected and the system lives in a large cupboard in the kitchen and my wife who is at home would have no reason to go in there.

Hi Steve
I got my wife to look at the indicator lights on the Battery packs.

One (the 8Kw unit) has no lights, the other (5Kw) has all the lights on. From that I think possibly the big unit has the issues and it could be the cable or it has been accidentally switched off.

I managed to switch the 5Kw one off once by stacking something next to it not realising the switch was on the side of the unit.
