After a Batter Calibration my inverter is idle. No solar (lots of excess over house demand) is getting to the battery. I have restarted the inverter but no change. What can I do next ?
Inverter Idle
What equipment do you have
What tariff are you on
What settings are showing in the portal
What does the inverter history show in the portal (remote control section). Does it show set to Eco "True"
Hi Steve,
I have -
Inverter Model
GIV-AC3.0
Software Version
D0.205-A0.205
Wi-Fi Serial
WF2136G741
Battery Type
Lithium-ion
Battery Capacity
100 Ah | 5.12 kWh | (2 Packs)
I am on Octopus Agile. On the app if you look at the Battery section it shows it cannot detect any battery packs connected to the inverter.
The last data it shows is on the 27th the batteries got to 100% and then suddenly drops to 0% and has not recorded any data after that point.
The app (and portal page show Solar and Grid correctly but nothing to or from the battery.
Eco Mode is set.
I think the battery BMS cable must have pulled out or dropped out.
You should see your battery info on the portal when it is "talking" to the inverter (see pic below)
The cable connects the battery to the inverter and I think goes into the bottom of the inverter via a plastic shroud/boot.
The cable plug just pushes in, but there is no clip (unlike RJ45) or mechanical restraint and they can just fall out. Mine did.
I took the boot off, plugged in the cable, pulled some slack up into the boot/shroud and folded it on itself and wrapped tape around so when pulled from below the cable bunch jammed in the boot ensuring there was no weight on the cable and plug in the inverter.
Been fine for a couple of years since then
