Night Tariff oversight!

I've had my Givenergy system a few days now and was planning to switch to the Octopus Go tariff to charge the batteries in the winter. However, I sadly overlooked the requirement to have an EV to have that tariff.
So if there are any tariffs out there that provides for a few hours of electricity overnight at a cheaper rate I'd be grateful to hear about it. Of course many dual rate tariffs have much higher day rates which would not be acceptable.
Do you think Givenergy might get involved with the suppliers to provide a tariff for battery owners who, as yet, do not own an EV? Is this something that Tesla do?

EDF, 4.5p per kWh. It is difficult to get on as well. Especially don't like the battery systems.

rio911 codgerbodger We do have an EV and changed to the EdF EV Tariff for the overnight slot at cheap rate. Don't remember having to provide details of the car but it was a faff finding the tariff to apply on-line. I think I did a general Google search for EV tariff and found it that way.

Also on Octopus SEG Tariff at 4.1p as that's the best I could find.

On the edf tariff, didn’t have to provide details of the car, but the terms did stress that it’s an ev tariff.

EDF told me that I couldn't without an EV. I swapped to economy 7 to use it in the winter, with Shell, reduced cost to 18p in the evening. Not as good as EV but better than standard rate.

Call Octopus again and ask them why they are discriminating against you ? . they cant do that can they . then maybe ask why your battery without wheels is not any better than an EV. maybe ask why they are helping people with very expensive EV and not the ordinary guy trying to save the planet the best way he can . failing that ask to talk to customer relations etc etc but keep ramping up the complaint you should succeed.
