Has anyone else got this problem...? I have an original AIO, and the gateway has been showing as "Unknown" state in the web dashboard even though it's working fine and I can query the settings etc via the web dashboard. It's been like this for several weeks; when I first noticed it I pressed the reboot button on the web dashboard and the gateway did restart (I know that because I lost power to the house for a few minutes while it restarted) but it's still in an "Unknown" state. The battery is showing up just fine.
It's not really causing a problem, just wondering if anyone else is seeing the same problem?

Did you manage to resolve this or have you just carried on with no problems?
I rebooted my router last night and noticed that the Gateway was showing as "Unknown" in the "My Inverters" page and "Offline" in the web dashboard but it is reporting data to the cloud every few minutes and the AIO is working fine. I'm on Inverter version A0.008 for the Gateway. It could have been going on for a while as I don't tend to look at the Gateway web pages as I have a single AIO.

Same here.
Spent an age on Whatapp with GE trying to resolve it. Finally got it online after firmware upgrades (A0.010 to A0.013) however it's now reporting offline again
I can't restart it from the portal as it reports "inverter offline".
I can pick up local networks (10.10.255.???) on both AIO and Gateway and can view settings.
In all other respects the system appears to be working fine and I can control the AIO from the Android app.
I have a call with the installers booked for Tuesday who also confirm that the AIO is online but the Gateway has been offline for over a week.
Anyone else having similar behaviour?

Yes, I have two AIOs and gateway, the gateway sometimes shows idle, sometimes offline, sometimes online. One AIO always shows online, the other always offline.
But they're all actually working I can control them with the app and get all the data through home assistant.

Same here. I have an AIO + Gateway. Everything works fine but the Gateway has always shown as Unknown in the portal. I am in the process of updating the firmware now to see if it changes anything.
I updated the AIO firmware the other day too.

I spent another several hours on WhatsApp trying to understand why it's offline. No resolution other than the AIO is received correct data from the Gateway. Ge have no idea why it's Bergwign like this I plan to try again next week.
Anyone else got any ideas? Is everyone getting a green circle next to both AIO and Gatweway?

Never got resolved, but it's not actually causing a problem - the settings etc still work, it's just saying "Unknown" on the page.

Finally managed to update my Gateway manually through trial and error. On A0.013 now but still having issues with it being offline. I'm sure way back when it was installed I saw it online but now never see it online. It will have a last online time every 12/24 hours. It's connected to the internet via the USB dongle connected to the bottom and I can log into that and has updated the chipset firmware on that to v.1.1.4.
Not sure how to update the dongle ARM firmware to v206 however.

I've got what looks like this issue with a gateway 2. I first noticed it because HA stopped getting the PV data from it overnight. It had been reporting it up to about three nights ago. The web portal and app are reporting data, as before, but the web access shows no data in the Inverters section for it, and says it's offline.
It's on wifi and I can see it in the router's list.
I'm guessing that no one's resolved this?

ours is gateway v1, externally mounted - it was sorted by re-running the network cable through the stone wall, putting conduit around it this time (crap installer must have crushed the original when stone inside the solid wall fell on the cable - he didn't use conduit.)
Givenergy were able to remotely do a firmware update when we ran a separate network cable direct to router via cat flap/window.
Did you definitely get the dip switches set right for LAN or wifi?

adskankster restart router? It should force it to try a connection, the system log on the router shows this even if the router doesn't. The issue for us was it has never worked because wifi wasn't possible and the installer damaged the LAN cable running through the wall. We also had to have a busbar replaced because it was the wrong one. The gateway connection to the AIO (assuming that's what you have) needs to be via cable. I think you can connect to the gateway from a device by scanning for it (there is a way to telnet to the IP address described in the forum elsewhere).

AnonymousHooman Thanks, yes I think I need to restart the router and gateway. I have some instructions, but I can't find one of the breaker switches. I think it's behind a cover, so I'm going to call the installer at some point, when we're both free. Hopefully they can talk me through it. Once I've done it once, I should be fine.
