APP Data garbled and different to web portal

I noticed a few days ago that the app was showing completely weird and impossible data.

For example, the app shows that on 1st June, we generated 46kwh of electric... which is physically impossible on a 4kw system.

It then seems to be missing the data from Thursday and things get messier from there... it reports Friday as Thurs and so on. I tried clearing the cache on the app without success.

The web portal data isn't perfect (it never is) but it is at least showing in the right ballpark for the whole of the month so far and has never done this before.

I would upload some pics showing this, but this website keeps throwing errors at me every time I try.

Now... normally, I would try and log out/in on the app, or reinstall it... But I can't because the SSO refuses to let me log in and sends me in an infinite loop of asking for user/pass and sending 1 time code to my email, which when entered loops me back to ask for user/pass... and sends me a code... and you can see where this is going right?

Breaking things that worked just fine... changing crap that didn't need to be changed... such progress... such impressive 'improvements'

I have similar issues. Rather hoping GE are aware and will fix it!

I have noticed a difference in the data too. It’s saying different data for generation in daily, weekly and monthly all for the same day? Hope GE sort this out

Me too - data all wrong both on the app as well as online. Need to raise a ticket

Here's the comparison of data from the App and the web portal

1st June
Generation 46kwh (App) 19.86kwh (portal)
Home Use 31kwh (App) 14.9 (portal)

2nd June
Generation 19.6kwh (App) 27.9 (Portal)
Home Use 14.8kwh (App) 17.25 (portal)

3rd June
Generation 25.2kwh (App) 20.4 (Portal)
Home Use 10.1kwh (App) 15.1kwh Portal

That's just the first 3 days of June and not one single point of data is the same... not even close.

It just gets worse and worse and at least 1 day is missing entirely from the app because it still thinks it's Monday.

I've just looked at the data in the app from May and it appears to start going wonky on the 31st May. Because it's reporting we used 0.3kwh on the whole house on that day (portal reports 15.6kwh), generated 0kwh (Portal reports 14.6kwh)... yet still managed to put 5.2kwh of that 0kwh generation into the battery (which actually matches the portal)... But then miraculously thinks that we used 0.3kwh of battery when the portal says we used 6kwh.

So that's where it all went Pete Tong... and there seems to be no way to resolve it in the app, which renders the app useless now... and because of the SSO refusing to let me log in at all (RE: endless loop with login, code, login, code, login code)... I can't remove and reinstall the app nor can I clear all data because that clears the login.

Can anyone else confirm their data starts getting screwed on the 31st May?

Just checked mine and all seems to tally up now between the app and the portal

ADO

Just checked mine and the 31st May is still all b0rked.. But June appears to be close to the portal data now.

I've also just spotted that the 1st May reports 25kwh of use (not close) and 50kwh of generation (impossible) both of which are around double what they should be... the rest of the month looks to be in the same ballpark as the portal.

So it's not a new problem from the look of it.

App data was wonky. It now seems consistent but my best ever generation in may was downgrade 30kWh or so? Seems figures have been revised by GE?

#9 Sadly Broke

They had this a couple of months ago and it was a change to the underlying api which had this consequence. The change was rolled back and all was fine until the beginning of June when it started happening again. I raised a ticket beginning of this month and GE say they are working on a fix. Apparently its not the same issue though the symptoms are the same which may well be right I've got no way of telling to be fair.

No timescales on a fix for this though which would be helpful, Anyone from GE reading this please note!

Until this is resolved I've given up on the app as to mind if the data is not right you might as well not publish it. Either rapidly fix the problem or roll the change back.

Sadly Broke

What annoys me with the shoddy way they handle data is that the old legacy energy graph on the web portal, is also far more accurate than the so called 'new and improved one'

After checking meter readings, I can confirm that the web portal legacy card is within a couple % of actual data, whilst the 'new and improved' (worse and broken) one can be 10-15% out.

Everything just gets worse and worse... and no on there seems to give a shite about it. They keep rolling out new more broken updates... Have they not heard of quality control, have they never heard of bug testing.

It almost like they're staffed by former EA/Ubisoft employees.
