Hi all, new install of solar plus battery here......
When I look at the GivEnergy portal for yesterday it shows Generation to Grid of 5.8 kWh and Grid Import of 8.68kWh which totals 14.48 kWh.
When I then look at the Octopus portal for yesterday it shows Grid consumption of 13.5kWh - which is pretty close to the total import/export GivEnergy is showing

Do you also export battery to grid ? What sort of system do you have (hybrid or ac-coupled) ?
Octopus cannot distingusih generation-to-grid from battery-to-grid, so what you've shown so far could be entirely coincidence. Eg if you filled a 9kWh battery from grid overnight and dumped it back to grid at the end of the day, that could be the missing export.
mack what does octopus show for export that same day? Does it show the same pattern on other days? Do the numbers seem plausible - do they match your typical daily consumption?
It looks like it was due to not being on the Octopus smart tariff. I switched on Tuesday, and yesterdays (Wednesday) readings on the Octopus portal now look correct.
mmm, still not sure, I thought yesterdays data looked better, but then it updated and still seems wrong.
The export tariff is not live yet so I wonder if thats what confusing it
