I've had no monitor data from the GivEnergy app since 23rd November. Nor from the web page. The little meter on the distribution box seems to be reporting PV generation. I have 7.2kw of panels and 10.4kwh of batteries but no idea of performance. System was completed a week ago. I went up in the loft where the kit is installed and both batteries show some charge. There is a Solis inverter next to the GivEnergy box that has no lights on at all. Not sure if it should show anything if the panels aren't generating (it was dark).
Looking for some guidance, as you probably see, I'm really new to this magic.
Is the monitoring app still offline?
Update. The Solis is now indicating power, now that the sun is shining.
It looks like the reporting recommenced around 2.30 this morning. Weird, what could be happening?

Poor wifi quality in the loft?
THALL I guess it's possible. How would I tell? The dongle always glows blue. It does get pretty cold up there. Is it possible to hard wire an ethernet connection?
AndrewHolmes I can't see an ethernet port on my inverter but you could try a USB to ethernet adapter if you are feeling brave. Only issue with things like that is they typically need drivers. Guessing the inverter runs some flavour of linux so you might get lucky.

Contact givenergy support to check if they have lost contact with it or not before making changes. They will be able to advise you further and better. As for your solis inverter I think it does have a wired port but you would need to check with your installs about how you get monitor data from it.
I spoke to GivEnergy support this morning. They were immediately helpful and also suggested WiFi as the likely cause. I have a spare TPlink extender which I put back into use and the reporting restarted almost immediately.
I'll keep an eye on it. I remembered that I replaced it as it was a little flakey, needing a weekly reset.
