Should I switch to the new Cloud Tariff card?

I am on the Intelligent Octopus Flux tariff by which i allow Octopus to control the battery. The intro to the new Tariff card seems to imply that some control is passed to Givenergy. There is already significant conflict between some aspects of battery control such as the use of Eco mode and I don't want to introduce other such conflicts.
So I am wondering what benefits there would be if I was to switch cards. I note that the old card will be switched off in future, so I will be forced to switch. Im just hoping that there will be an option in the new card to switch off the new Tariff controls.

MikeSummerton What features are you hoping a tariff card would provide ?

I've not felt the need to use one since I need neither control (which I can do myself) nor pricing information (which I can get directly from Octopus, and GE doesn't see EV import anyway).

(What conflict is there in battery control ?)

MikeSummerton AFAIK the "old" card has nothing to do with controlling the IOF tariff and if you're on that tariff then you shouldn't be turning Eco (or anything else) on or off, you leave the system alone as that's what giving Octopus control means.

The new card is (IMHO) aimed more at Octopus Agile users, most/all of whom already have more reliable local solutions and hence won't use it.
