Hi all
On checking my app and confirming with portal I noticed that my battery had discharged overnight down to 16%. My timed discharge is 08:30 through to 01:30, so should not have discharged during period 01:30 to 08:30. With solar generation battery recharged to 100%.
The following day I noted that battery discharge started at 05:30 and not 08:30. Inverter settings confirmed that discharge should start at 08:30.
This morning I find the same has been repeated, battery discharge started at 05:30. Inverter settings still saying start discharge period at 08:30. I have restarted the inverter and sent discharge times to it.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Roger.

RMoore on the first night, was it discharging all night, or did it start at 05:30 like the others?

Do you use any external agents (HA or one of the web-based ones)?

One possibility is that the inverters clock is set incorrectly. Did discharge stop 3 hours early too? Not sure you can read it with the standard software, but you can set it from the portal.

Out of interest, why do you use timed discharge? Cheap overnight tariff but you don't want to actively charge from grid? (Looking back at older posts, you were 12p overnight, so that sounds like a good plan.)

Hello DD
No other external agents in use. Discharge stopped correctly at 01:30, and have reset inverter time just in case.
I tend to only charge overnight during winter months. In periods of good solar generation I think (I may well be wrong) that my best option is to charge by solar with excess being exported to grid at 16p per kWh.

RMoore timed discharge is implemented using timed pause, so if you go to the remote control sextion on the portal you should see pause-start = 01:30, pause end = 08:30, pause type = pause-discharge.

I assume you don't force discharge back to the grid. If overnight is 12p, I think I might still charge overnight from grid - that way, you start exporting solar earlier. But probably fairly marginal.

The mystery continues...
The timed discharge now appears to have returned to normal operation, i.e. only discharging between 08:30-01:30.
However, last night the battery recharged from 78% to 100% despite there being no timed charge slot set.
Could this be a battery conditioning function that I'm not aware of or as a result of the recent inverter software update?

RMoore which firmware are you on?

Have you looked at the activity log on the portal to see if there are any unexpected changes being made?

There doesn't appear to be any logs that I can't explain.
