![My system is just over 2 yrs old and has worked perfectly until yesterday, It started to ‘go wrong’ sometime yesterday afternoon. I noticed this in the late afternoon when I looked at the app.
Although bright and sunny the app showed that I was only making 17w from solar, that my house was using 23w and the battery was giving the house 6 w and the battery % was at 52%
This continued all the way to bed time. The surplus solar was going straight to the grid and not topping up the battery.
Overnight the battery did not charge as it should have nor did any power go to the house as I see from my Octopus app that mains power was used throughout the night where as the battery should have powered the house for most of that.
Early this morning (5am) is was showing obviously wrong information - like solar was being generated but at 5 am it was not!
Now at 6am it is showing as still being at 52% and giving 7w to the house that is supposedly using only 18W. ( The house uses at least 250W even when nothing is ‘on’ - for fridges , freezers, computers etc etc)
This morning I followed the Full Restart procedure as per the video on the GE web site
30 mins later the problem is still there
Looking at the AC coupler all the lights seem normal. The green disc in the middle is illuminated . The blue line and arrows between ‘battery' and the green light are illuminated with the arrow alternating from pointing to Battery and pointing towards the green light .On the face of everything I cannot see any obvious fault.
But the battery system (9.5 kw and AC Coupler) is not working as it should.
- It has not taken surplus solar
*It is not discharging to the house as it should - It did not top up during the cheap power hours at night as it has done for past 2 years
- On the app none of the Quick Controls change the batterys operation so I cannot even force at discharge or charge
I do not have whatsapp and that seems to be the only was GE Support will communicate in a timely manner.
So I would appreciate any ideas or advice?
Thanks
