GivEnergy App missing icons

For the last couple of day my GivEnergy app has thee bottom row of icons (home, power, energy, battery) missing.

I can still navigate by touching where the icons should be.

This only happens in portrait mode. If I rotate to landscape the icons show up.

I have tried the obvious remedies (sign out-sign in, clear app data, restart phone but no luck.

I notice the app was updated a few days ago so that might have triggered it.

This is happening on a Samsung A53 Android 15. The app (same version) on a Samsung A52 works fine.

It looks like the layout in portrait mode on the A53 is misaligned as the icon area is lower down and half off the screen.

Anybody else having similar issue?

Yes same here. Just deleted 3.4.23 and downloaded 3.4.22 from apk store. Installed that and controls are fully visible in portrait mode again. Its a bit of a faff installing an apk as you also need to download an installation apk app, but worth it. I have also now turned off auto updates in the google play store account to stop it trying to install the latest version again. Again google don't make it easy to find the setting as it is buried down in the network preferences section. Technology for you!

Thanks for that. I'll give it a go.

I found apk 3.4.22 on APKPure. Is that where you got it from?

I installed that one and icons are back.

I guess I'll have to manually watch fro future updates to see if I can revert onto later versions.

I have also reported this direct to GivEnergy development

Same problem on Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Same issue, the phone menu is covering the buttons at the bottom of the app, and there is no scroll.
I'm staggered that this went through QA if I'm honest.

Sangers I'm staggered that this went through QA

I'd be staggered if they actual have any QA whatsoever.

This doesn't happen on all phones. I am guessing it may be related to using Android 15 or One UI 7.

If that is the case then QA is not checking with latest OS versions

Also on the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G.

Thank you to Rtidey for the tip on rotating the screen to landscape.

I noticed there was an app update on 22/07 3.4.24

Tw 'What's new' didn't explicitly mention layout but I thought I'd give it a go.

Seems to be fixed by this update. Hooray! I can set it back to Auto update now.
