Battery charging it self

Hi there
I have a new PV and 8.2 battery setup
been running fine and than this evening (Thursday) the battery is charging itself from the grid ...... Is this normal as I am thinking that its doing a full capacity test ?

If it's new, mine discharged then charged first. Even this cycle is done name sure your settings are solar or solar plus grid, depending on what you want.

spoors9545 what was the % SOC, did it suddenly drop to 0%? There has been an issue with some systems where this has been happening but the most recent battery firmware is meant to have solved the issue. When the drop off has been happening, it will charge up to 4% and then sit idle.

Thanks ... it did drop to 0% and then start charging from the grid at 3 Kwh ....... I raced around the house checking the iron was off and the Kettle Etc and then checked the garage ..... Bingo the PV battery was charging

This all coincided with the channel 4 drama about GCHQ ...... which got me into yet another panic 😄

spoors9545 the charge from 0% to 4% is normal. The reason why it dropped SOC is not, at least from my perspective anyway. Check what battery firmware you are on and consider updating it to the most recent (3007). Just be aware that part of this update is a recalibration where it will export everything and then charge back up to 100%.

Thanks ... on reflection I did an update on the software and then this 0%----100% happened
