Hi all,
I have 2x AC coupled inverters each connected to a battery and now all controlled by a retrofit EMS. There are some issues that I’ve raised to GivEnergy that have been ongoing for weeks. I’d be grateful if the following is deemed normal/abnormal from any EMS user experience please:

(A) Is there a threshold/level the SOC needs to drop down to (possibly 95%) before an (App) force charge or excess solar can charge the batteries back up to 100% again? For example, with excess solar and SOC 96%, the batteries are not charged.
(B) The batteries consistently drop SOC roughly 1% per hour with NO battery power requirement as it is in the timed charge period or during the day when excess PV charge.
(C) The app discharge at full power never works.
(D) Timed discharge is set to 05:30-23:30 but this doesn’t prevent any house load triggering battery demand outside the slot, e.g. after 23:30 to midnight.

Many thanks.

KWcomm I also have EMS and triple AC3. A - yes that is as designed. B - Seems a little high but nothing out of the ordinary here. C - That's odd, do you mean export? D - Are the other 2 slots set to 00:00?

Thanks for your feedback.
A - Good to know, but this GivEnergy logic can result in a loss of 1kWh useable capacity.
B - Before the EMS, each morning at 05:30, I’d have 100% fully charged batteries for the day, so with an EMS, seems odd to me the SOC drops while it is idle and starting the day at around 96%.
C - Yes, using GivEnergy’s terminology. Export to you and I. It has never worked. Do you just change the app ‘play’ button to ‘discharge now (export)’?
D - There is only one (05:30-23:30) timed discharge set, there is the option to add a further two, but not used.

c) Have you got an export limit set? I've been using export all summer to leave room in the batteries for solar - to avoid the solar inverter limiting due to my export limit. I have noticed the SOC dropping at night - yet to investigate.
My problem is the solar being reported via the portal and App. The solar inverter app and Myenergi app agree - but not Givenergy. I've checked the solar em115 - agrees with Myenergi.

No export limit. In the app, no timed export slots are configured. Checking the GivEnergy portal and all three slots start/end 00:00 with export to 4%. I’ve an ongoing ticket with GivEnergy since mid June.

I use MyEnergi and Octopus Energy more for solar generation/exported data and especially real time power flow as the GivEnergy App with the EMS ‘last updated’ time can run into minutes (without the EMS, it was every 10 seconds).

Our hybrid inverter cycled like that when it was delivered. I complained and a firmware update fixed it.
