I was fixing one of my in roof solar panel clips as it had twisted. I was doing this in-between the showers and felt a tingling when I touched the flashing on the lower edge of the panel. I take it this should not happen and will be contacting my installer to check this out.
That's normal.
Ground mount panels must be earthed in case anyone accidentally touches them.
Roof mount panels are not normally earthed because nobody should touch them (without first turning the power off).
Rubikcube I washed my FIT panels with a jet wash (low power setting) when the scaffolding was up for adding my second array.
And yes, mild electric shock. Turned them off after that ….

What you’ve experienced when touching the solar panel frames from a metal ladder is most likely a very slight leakage current that can give a tingling sensation. This can occur because the panels naturally sit outside of what’s known as the equipotential bonding zone in the UK wiring regulations. In these situations, the frames are not required to be earthed, as they are normally positioned out of reach.
That said, if someone comes into contact with the panels while working from a ladder or roof access point, it is possible to notice this effect
