I had an AIO + Gateway installed last November and I dont think its been updated since. Should I be looking to update the firmware on these products when new ones are available?
I am currently on D0.611-A0.611 and Battery Version 9
Thanks

My view is absolutely, yes.
If you have any system issues in the future GivE are likely to suggest upgrading firmware anyway.
My system has been more stable and tracked SOC better with the later firmware, been running 616 and BMS 12 for quite a while now.
Thanks for replying. Update went well and now on the latest.
Next up, to update the Gateway however it does say I will lose power for 2 - 5 minutes so will need to time this one.

You can put the Gateway into bypass (remove the lock and throw the breaker) whilst you do the update to prevent a power outage, just remember to take it out of bypass mode once the update is complete.
Are any of your inverters on A618-D618 then? Mine not offering me anything beyond D0.616-A0.616 on the portal, however 618 exists since April.
Mine updated today to 616, it’s not offering anything more than that to me yet. Is 618 in beta perhaps?
Thanks. Info came from here https://givenergy.co.uk/resource-hub/#firmware which seems to imply production versions. But then again it’s not crystal clear.
Ben Robins I think 618 is not being pushed through the portal just yet but is available for manual install if required.
I have been on Gateway V13 and AIO 618 since June it has new features to throttle the Inverters if you look like exceeding the 80amp Gateway Limit. The V13 Gateway firmware allows support to set a limit in amps that your Gateway will not exceed. There is also better SOC management for dual AIO's in V618 I am lead to believe.
I'm also still running D0.611-A0.611 and Battery Version 9 with my gateway on A0.008 and have been without any issues since May 2024 and so have been hesitant to upgrade.
I remember there being a bunch of posts around poor performance/capacity after upgrades and so have not wanted risk my stable system. Working in IT I'm always hesitant of applying firmware/updates to systems that are working as intended, unless new features are required or a bug needs fixing and I don't see the benefits outweighing the perceived risk.
Given the reported lack of support from GE makes me even more hesitant about any updates, unless there is any compelling reason to update a working system?
I just updated my Gateway to A0.013 and its now showing back as Normal, Online etc
