Quick one folks
Received my 9.5 batteries on Friday. The boxes did not include any cables. Should the distributer (Segen) have added the cables? and if not where I can I get the cables from ASAP.?

Thanks, Rob

Just out of interest - how much did they charge you for the battery? I've been quoted the following - £4158, £6888, £5900 and finally £4103. I know that these companies have to make money but ...
The price of a 9.5kWh battery from ITS is £3408 inc VAT @20%.

Err I am paying £3200 for a 9.5kw fully installed, adding it to my AC3 and 8.2kw battery. My install is not due until last week of September however.

Thats retail price. The Trade price will be lower, hence the guy below £3200 installed.

You did well to get one of those that quickly!

I'm quite happy to wait until Sptember - I just have to find an installer to fit it at an honest price. Most of them are busy - they don't even reply to phone calls or e-mails. Ok THALL - I'm in N Dorset - where are you?
I'm quite happy to install it myself and 'competent' - however Givenergy insist that it has to be installed by a 'Givenergy approved installer' (an electrician that has sat in on a Microsoft Teams 1 1/2 hour course). In my experience most electricians ain't got a clue ...

@THALL .
According to the installation training course, you will need 2 x All-in-one to Ring terminal cables in addition to the 9.5 kWh battery, and your AC3 inverter wired to the largest battery first then to your existing battery.
The 9.5 Gen 2 battery has 2 orange AIO sockets on the left hand side for power/comms in and power/comms out, with no screw type terminals as used on the Gen 1 batteries.

AC3 inverter --> Ring-AIO cable --> 9.5 battery --> AIO-Ring cable --> 8.2 battery.

The AIO cables include DC power and the BMS comms.

The AIO-AIO cable is currently only used for connecting 2 x 9.5 kWh Gen 2 batteries.

I wonder if the AIO plugs and cables are designed to be re-wirable. It would be annoying to have surplus lengths of cable looped around on the wall.
